The location for this property is excellent, right next to the Basilica and close to marina. There are many great restaurants within very short walk. The reception ladies were excellent, we were warmly greeted by Paula and met some other wonderful young ladies that worked at the reception. The hotel itself is a newly renovated historic building, the rooms are stylish and very clean. Showers are great, beds are comfortable. This hotel only has 14 rooms, so there is no elaborate 5-star lobby or other common spaces for the guests to use. It almost feels like a small apartment complex with room service and reception. There is a small court yard with a few pieces of yard furniture to sit on, but it is not the kind of setting where one would casually sit around. There is a small roof-top patio with a few sun beds, it’s on the top of the 3-rd floor. There is a small sauna and very small gym with one bicycle, one other machine and some free weights. There is no pool or spa services located on sight, but a massage can be ordered in advance.

Loved this newly opened boutique hotel. Walking through the large front door off the cobbled street was like walking into a private and exclusive oasis. We were warmly greeted by Paola, Angie, and Luke, and our luggage placed in our room while we relaxed with a glass of Cava in the courtyard near the fountain. Turn down service by Selma was a nice touch. In the morning, we had the unique pleasure of Xisca the chef prepare our breakfast before us at an elaborate stove. Xisca baked the croissants herself and told us her speciality was preparing omelets with local ingredients---a very special experience, the dishes kept coming, each one delicious. Excellent coffees made and served by Ismael. We lingered. The hotel is located in a quiet and authentic section of the old city, the walk into the touristy center and to the Cathedral was under 10 minutes. Highly recommend this hotel and taking a guided walking tour to experience Palma's layered history, architecture, and culture.

A beautiful place set in the old town away from the hustle and bustle. The hotel has been designed to the highest standard and the room we stayed in was immaculate, spacious and luxurious- loved the Diptyque toiletries! The staff were so warm and welcoming, Luke in particular was so kind and made us feel very at home, welcoming us with a glass of local wine and telling us all about the hotel and Palma recommendations. We were lucky to be upgraded to a suite for our 10 year anniversary and were treated to bubbles in the room as well. Thank you Portella for the best stay, we highly recommend to anyone visiting Palma.

Hotel Portella is located in the old town of Palma, next to the old Arab baths. It reminds me of a Riad. It's really beautiful. I got a feeling of coming home. The hotel team are absolutely delightful, and deliver exceptionally good service. The rooms are beautiful and authentic. Good size and beautiful details. The bed was incredibly comfortable. There is even a very good sofa there, and a cozy table. It makes the rooms more like an apartment. I absolutely recommend the breakfast here too. Excellent and genuine service. I felt so welcome and special.

Other than the place itself is beautiful, stunning, warm, and welcoming. I'd say our favorite part was the staff. Everyone was so incredibly kind and knowledgeable. They all made time to chat and we truly appreciated that. Luke was extremely knowledgeable about the hotel's history, which made us understand the space more. One of the chefs, Chiska (may be spelling the name incorrectly, sorry) was so great to talk to! She was such a bright spirit. We stuck around just to keep the conversation going with her.
